Enjoyed working in a busy urban area where I could serve my neighbors.
Would work shifts as a Provider in Triage (PIT) with efficiency without sacrificing thoroughness. Did all mainstay procedures expected of an APP.

Worked directly with the Chief Science Officer to help design experiments working towards product development. Original focus was for cosmetics, but the company transitioned towards a focus on vaccine adjuvant production.

Managed several projects, some pertaining to proteins involving increased enzyme catalytic activity and novel product creation. Investigated possible metabolites for anxiolytics in Valeriana officinalis lines, and analysis of cannabidiol concentration in hemp lines.
Responsibilities included: media preparation, standard molecular biology cloning, protein extraction, nucleotide extraction, mutagenesis, plant extraction, bookkeeping, regular presentations, weekly meetings with PI(Principle Investigator), outreach to 4H summer camp students, project presentation, and literature reviews.
Exposure to critical thinking and problem solving associated with research projects. Developed critical problem solving skills with an emphasis on hypothesis-driven experiments. Learned essential career skills such as project presentations, effective communication, and ensuring continuity of projects.
